I have for you today a very very special Cadillacquer polish called What's In The Box?
Now there is a story behind this polish....I was placing an order for some more sale polishes and a couple from the new Love The Music collection as a birthday present from me to me and was also emailing the lovely Madeleine at the same time and she done the sweetest thing ever and offered to make me a custom polish for my birthday. Now I will stop here for a second and get a little sappy but this is a perfect example of how a nail polish obsession lets you 'meet' some of the most wonderful people. I have met so many great people through nail polish and I am sure you all know who you are if you are reading this.
Now back to the polish, which I know is why you are all here really. Now I love polish but have never been asked to make one so at first I was overwhelmed with ideas then I drew a blank... Finally I came up with some very vague ideas and Madeleine came up with an ever prettier polish that I had imagined.
What's In The Box? has a bright blue and has light and dark purple glitters running through it. Even though this polish was made at short notice, the quality is as I have come to expect from Cadillacquer.
I know you are all probably sighing by now and dying for the pictures but I just wanted to quickly explain the name choice, which again was chosen by me. What's In The Box? has a few meanings but mainly it links to my blog name, the old tale of Pandora and her box...but there is also an added bonus where it ties in with the Cadillacquer theme of pop culture names by taking a quote from one of my (and also it turns out, Madelines) favourites movies, Seven.
So before you all give up and leave, here are the pictures. I had 2 breaks (sigh) so nails are kind of shorter than usual but I had to show you anyway. This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.
And now we have some bottle shots...
I hope I have done this amazing polish justice with my pictures and I am sure I will wear this one often.
In a way I feel bad you showing you all this one as it is not available to buy but you can buy many other great Cadillacquer polishes from the site here.
Thank you all so much for looking and a special thanks to Madeleine for just being her <3 xxx

Cadillacquer Days Gone Bye
Today I have another Cadillacquer polish to show you that is sadly discontinued, and just while I mention that, there are many more in the Cadillacquer sale just now that are being discontinued to make room for the great new collections and I just see this as an excuse to buy up the older polishes, and maybe the occasional new one....well, since I am placing an order anyway ;D
So this one is called Days Gone Bye and is so pretty but a little camera shy. It has a black base with reddish shimmer and red berry glitters running through. This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.
As I said, this polish is now discontinued but you can still pick it up in the sale on the Cadillacquer site so don't miss out on the chance to grab this one! Cadillacquers can also be purchased from Llarowe, Harlow & Co and Rainbow Connection.
Thanks for looking <3 xx

Colors by Llarowe Summer 2014 - Soccer Mom
Today brings another of the Llarowe Summer collection. I hope you are enjoying these ones, Leah Ann always chooses such great polishes for her collections.
The one I am showing you today is Soccer Mom and is a baby blue polish with scattered holo. This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and no top coat.
I do love me a blue, and this one is no exception.
Keep an eye on the Llarowe facebook, the CbL facebook and the Llarowe site for news about the next re-stock of the Summer polishes as this is the best way to hear these being announced. CbL polishes can also be purchased from the Harlow & Co site and again check facebook to find out when you can pick these up.
Thanks so much for looking <3

Cadillacquer Better Call Saul
I have for you today a lovely little Cadillacquer I picked up kind of recently, I have so many Cadillacquers still to show you so I really need to make a start with them as I also have more on the way.
Better Call Saul is from the Breaking Bad Collection and I wish I had taken a proper picture of the name as Madeleine has done them in the same style of the Breaking Bad titles. You can kind of see the name in my first picture though.
Better Call Saul is a blue based polish with a subtle turquoise shimmer and scattered holo running through. This is 1 coat of the Knight 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.
I then decided to jazz this one up with a little stamping with my recently received MoYou plates, the one I used this time is numbered 107 and I used the MoYou Black stamping polish with 1 coat of the Shield to seal it all in.
I feel I still have a long way to go to perfect my stamping technique but I do love how simple it can be to add great detail to a basic mani.
This polish is now discontinued but you can still pick this one up in the sale on the Cadillacquer site so don't miss out on the chance to grab this one! Cadillacquers can also be purchased from Llarowe, Harlow & Co and Rainbow Connection.
The MoYou plates and polishes can be purchased from the site here and you can follow them on facebook too.

Colors by Llarowe Summer 2014 Jellies - Summer...Finally! and Strawberry Wine
I have for you today a little idea that randomly came to me while I was dusting off my lava lamp in my spare (or polish) room.
I hadn't used the jellys from the CbL Summer collection yet and I thought that a jelly would be a great way to create a lava lamp type effect. Now bear with me, cause if you have been here before you know I am not that great with art on my nails, but I was actually happy with this one.
Firstly I done 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Summer....Finally - which is a neon pink jelly - and then I used the normal brush and a dotting tool and done the 'lava' with a-england Lancelot and then 1 more coat of Summer...Finally to finish it off.
I then wanted to make this even brighter so I added 1 coat of Strawberry Wine - a reddened magenta jelly - over the top and one coat of the Shield just to finish it all off.
I was so happy with this mani turned out as it actually was the same as how it looked in my head, haha, and I liked it even more so when I added Summer Wine on top as red is just a tad more me than pink is.
I would love your comments on this one....

Colors by Llarowe Summer 2014 Glitters - Independence Day, Purple Is My Crack, Mystery & Mayhem and Beautiful Disaster
Firstly I will start off by apologising for my little absence, I had borrowed a fancy camera from my step dad and I don't think he anticipated how many pictures I was going to take and the battery pack died, and I had no charger. And then I eventually got the charger and was busy with a couple of birthdays I have in June, one being my own, haha.
Now you can see just how pretty these colours are alone, now I will show you what I tried to do with them.
I had an idea in my head about doing a kind of dotticure with these over a white base. I started with 1 coat of the Knight and then 2 of Nails Inc Floral Street. I then just used the normal polish brush and did dots of Independence Day, Purple Is My Crack and Mystery & Mayhem and then as Beautiful Disaster had a clear base I tried to kind of just fill in the white that was left. Then 1 coat of the Shield to top it all off.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this mani, fail or not? And if it is a fail, do you still want to see them?

But anyway, to start back I thought I would continue with showing you some more of the Summer 2014 CbL polishes. I am loving this collection and am actually being a tad adventurous - well for me - with how I am wearing these. It means that you may not get to see a colour as a straight swatch but you will get to see my attempts at art....
Now attempts is a great word here as this mani seemed like a great idea in my head and it was okay when I finished it but I just was not 100% happy with it. So firstly I will show you the colours alone, then I will show you the other mani.
Now I have just swatched these one on each finger. In order these are Independence Day (royal blue jelly base with holo glitters) Purple Is My Crack (purple jelly base with holo glitters) Mystery & Mayhem (teal jelly base with holo glitters) and last but not least Beautiful Disaster which is a little different from the others I am showing you today as it is a clear base with various holo and micro glitters, but still pretty dense and can be worn alone as you see. All are 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.
