Mont Bleu Product Review

I have for you today another review of the great products available from Mont Bleu.

If you have seen my previous posts on these products, you have already hear me gush about their amazing glass nail files, and I jumped at the chance to review some more of these and some another products too.

Here is a wee couple of group pictures of the products I received and then I will take you through them one at a time.

This is the products as you receive them.

And this is them removed from any packaging.

This item is called a foot scraper and as expected is used for buffing any hard skin that may develop, on your feet and even hands I suppose.  It is really heavy and durable feeling and easily washed after use.

The below item is your standard small variety nail clipper but with the amazing addition of some Swarovski to decorate it.  This make the item very pretty to look at, and also as the handle turns in when you use (as per any nail clippers) the crystals stay out of harms way.  I do love little nail clippers as my nails grow quite quickly - which can be a blessing and a curse - so I normally trim them down with clippers before filing them into shape.  I felt these clippers gave a nice clean cut without snagging the nail.

And a close up to show you the sparkles....

I then have a little pair of nail scissors, which can be used in the same way as the clippers for tripping down length.

Again, these are decorated with pretty little Swarovski crystals to give it a little sparkle and make them stand out from any old scissors.  Again, I experienced no issues when using these to cut my nails.

And of course, a package from Mont Bleu would not be complete without nail files.  These ones are one of the Waterfall designs and are purple and pink, as you can see, and have complimenting Swarovski crytals to match the waterfall colouring.

And last but certainly not least, I have a stunning pair of earings.

You may or may not recognise the very same earings from my first Mont Bleu post and I had dearly loved that pair since then, but I sadly lost one at a recent night out and desperately needed to replace them with an identical pair.  I just love these little crystal studs so much, the are like multichrome earnings!

Thanks for looking as always and all of the above items and many more great products can be purchased on the official Mont Bleu site.

The products in this post were sent to me for review.

a-england The Blessed Damozel (and another explanation)

I feel this is a bit of a deja-vu post as I am starting again with an apology for another absence, I really can't force myself to go through another long explanation again, and I'm sure you don't want to hear it all but long story short, just over a month ago I had to get my boy cat, Lestat, put to sleep as his kidneys were failing too, the exact same as his sister 4 months before him.  So you can probably understand my head has not been with it at all, but I am slowly and surely trying to get back to doing 'normal' things I used to enjoy doing, this site being one of them.

So I decided to show you today one of the newer a-england polishes, this one is The Blessed Damozel and is a further addition to the Heavely Quotes polishes.

The Blessed Damozel is a deep violet metallic polish with a velvety finish.  This is a very pigmented polish, the below swatch is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield, but I have worn this polish on a few occasions and you can very easily get away with just one coat.

I had seen it be asked how similar this was to Avalon but except from the fact they are a polish in the purple family and both made by a-england, the similarities end there (unless you count both of them being stunning as a similarity too)

I have done a wee comparison picture for you below, this is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of each polish and 1 of the Shield.

Thanks for looking and an extra thank you for sticking with me through my erratic-ness...

a-englands can be bought on the official a-england site, if you are in the UK, and if not, a-englands can be purchased from Llarowe or visit here for a full list of international stockists
