My absence..

Hi all,

Just a very quick post tonight to explain my sudden and annoying absence.

My laptop has given up the ghost, so to speak and sadly that is where all my photographs were kept, without a back up, I know, silly me!

I am in the process of working out a way to recover these pictures and get back to posting but just thought would update you all in the meantime.

Apologies and I hope to be back sooner rather than later.

Frankenstine Polish May the Schwartz be with you over Enchanted Polish Green Peace on Earth

I have for you today a polish I am a little late in showing you so I do apologise.

Here is Green Peace on Earth from the Enchanted Polish Christmas line, I have to admit here the Enchanted Xmas collection was one of the only collections at that time I was interested in, not because any of the others were bad, just because I am not a very festive person so all the green and red does not appeal to me.

Saying that, Chelsea makes amazing holos, so how could I not love her Xmas collection which is made up of 4 holos.

Green Peace on Earth is a light greeny/golden linear holo and here is 1 coat of the Knight and 2 of the polish.

Then I added one coat of May the Schwartz be with you by Frankenstein Polish.  Schwartz is made up of black and gold glitters and is inspired by the wonderfully funny film, Spaceballs.

Here is the above mani with 1 coat of Schwartz and 1 of the Shield.

Dandy Nails Mighty Fine Print

I have for you today one of the polishes from the Dandy Nails Halloween trio.  Now, all of these 3 polishes are so pretty, but I knew I needed them even just for the names.  The are inspired by the film 'Repo!  The Genetic Opera' and as strange as it sounds I love this film so so much.

Mighty Fine Print is named for the most catchy song, seriously, this one will get stuck in your head for days, but in a good way.

But anyway, onto the polish.  Mighty Fine Print is made up of red and white matte glitters in a black base.

Here is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Mighty Fine Print and 1 of the Shield.

You can buy Dandy Nails on Etsy, but unfortunately they do not ship to the UK, I enrolled a good friend in the US to buy them for me and send them on.

Nail'd It Dragon Scales

I have for you today the first polish I have tried from the brand Nail'd it.

This one is called Dragon Scales and I had one of those 'must have' moments when I seen pictures of this polish a while back, so I managed to catch it in the Llarowe restock one night and was a happy bunny.

Dragon Scales is made up of multicoloured matte glitters in a clear base.

So here is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Camelot, 1 of Dragon Scales and 1 coat of Glitter Food (by Nail Pattern Boldness)  I love this polish for smoothing out glitters but I also love that it has a matte finish.  I decided not to add a shiny topcoat for these pictures.

I really enjoyed wearing this combo and eventually did add a coat of the Shield to this mani, and it looked so pretty shiny too.

a-england polished can be bought from the offical site or Llarowe where you can also purchase Nail'd It polishes too.  Nail'd It also has their own Etsy store.

Crowstoes Bunny Slope and Kiko 335

I have for you all today another beauty from Crowstoes, Bunny Slope.

I think I have mentioned before that the thing that drew me to Crowstoes is the Alice collection, but there are so many other pretties, and this is one of them.

Bunny Slope is an interesting mix of white and silver glitters and is dense enough to be worn alone, but I was wearing Kiko 335 which is a stunning blue (almost identical to Baker Street from memory) and thought Bunny would look great layered over it, and I was so happy with the result.

So here is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of 335, 1 of Bunny, 1 of Glitter Food and 1 of the Shield.

Dollish Polish Girls Rule Boys Drool over Hussy Potion

I have for you today two stunning polishes from Dollish Polish that I almost didn't want to show you as you can't get them anymore.  Hussy Potion - which is made up of purple and black glitters in a milky white base - was a custom polish made by Dolly for a few ladies, and Girls Rule Boys Drool - which is matte pink and purple glitters in a clear base - was a limited edition polish Dolly sold last year.

I had both sitting and they for some reason called out to be to be worn together, so here is 1 coat of the Knight, 3 of Hussy Potion, 1 of Girls Rule and 1 of the Shield.

Sadly as I said, neither of these pretties are available, but Dolly has many many more amazing creations and you can pick them up from her Store or from Llarowe.

Shimmer Polish Sophie over a-england Elaine

I have for you today another Shimmer Polish, I love everything I have tried from this line so far, and Sophie is no exception.

You quickly realise after application, that each of these polishes is more complex that you initially thought, and this one is no exception.  Most regulars here know that pink isn't my favourite shade on me, but this glitter has so many different coloured glitters mixed in I barely even noticed.

So here is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 coats of a-england Elaine, 1 of Sophie and 1 of the Shield.

You should also visit a-englands site just now as Adina is having the most amazing sale to celebrate a-englands second birthday.......

Frankenstein Polish My Spidey Senses Are Tingling over Nails Inc Kensington High Street

I have for you all today another lovely polish from Frankenstein polish, My Spidey Senses are Tingling.

I loved the name of this one and the colour combonation puts me in mind so much of Spidermans suit.

Here is Spidey layered over Nails Inc Kensington High Street, which was actually a gift from my lovely manager in work for doing her nails for nights out......and yes that is a Crystal Cap!

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Kensington, 1 of Spidey and 1 of the Shield.

Nails Inc Monument - Concrete Effect

I have for you all today the first of the Nails Inc Concrete Effect polishes.

I was very intrigued when I first seen these polishes on the Nails Inc site but at the same time was a little unsure how I would like the textured effect when it was on my nails.

I was however, very pleasantly surprised when I wore the first of these polishes, Monument, and loved how it looked.  Monument is a lime coloured polish but pulls much more yellow on me.

So here is 1 coat of the Knight and 3 of Monument with no top coat.
