Illamasqua Faux Pas and Nails Inc Privileged

Now here is the other polish from the Illamasqua Theatre of the Nameless collection that Fi had bought, Faux Pas.

I love this one, it is such a rich purple colour and again has the rubber or wax like finish.

Coverage on this one was wearable with 1 coat but was even better with 2, so here is 1 coat of the Knight, and 2 of Faux Pas and no top coat.

After really liking Vice with the 2010, I thought I would try the same with Faux Pas, but with Privileged (from the Nails Inc Blair Gossip Girl duo) on top instead.

Here is the above mani with 1 coat of Privileged and 1 coat of Kleancolor Madly Matte.

Over Faux Pas, Privileged shows mostly blue flashes but small hints of green.

Thanks for looking and thanks to Fi for letting me use both of her polishes <3 <3

Illamasqua Vice and Nubar 2010

I have for you today one of the lovely Illamasqua Theatre of the Nameless 'rubber effect' polishes.  This one is called Vice and is a pretty berry colour.

I have not managed to buy these polishes for myself but my amazing friend Fi bought them and then went on holiday before she could get a chance to use them, so of course I offered to polish sit for her.....

These are my first Illamasqua polishes and I was so happy to try them eventually, the bottle is an amazing design, and looks like it will be very storage friendly for when I finally buy some.  The application was great and the cap on this polish was slightly rubberised to mirror the finish of the polish inside.

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Vice and no top coat.

I love this polish, the finish of this reminds me of candle wax.

Now........ I had been thinking about how the flakies would look matte, I had seen pictures of this before and it looked great so I had to try it for myself.  I had quickly swatched 2010 over this polish when Fi came over with them and it looked ideal so here is the above mani with 1 coat of Nubar 2010 and then topped with 1 coat of Kleancolor Madly Matte, which I had used before to produce a more rubbery finish than a standard matte top coat.

The 2010 on top of this polish still shows different colours but leans more towards showing the orange and the yellow flashes.

Thanks for looking <3 xx

Nails Inc Tudor Way

I have for you today Nails Inc Tudor Way, this is a very lovely navy blue polish, it is right up there with my favorites to be honest.

It is always great to apply, could probably get away with 1 coat and has no streaks.

I can't say much else about it, so here it is with 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.

After a day of looking at this polish I had an idea I couldn't shake, I have really been lusting over the Illamasqua rubber look polishes and this colour looked to me like it would fit in nice with that collection.

I have Kleancolours matte top coat, Madly Matte, I had only tried this out on 1 nail when I had got it but remembered it having a bit more of a rubbery look than my other matte top coat.

Here is the above mani with 1 coat of the Kleancolour Madly Matte.

I was right and, was so please with the result.  This will keep my Illamasqua need at bay.... for now.

And after a busy day of typing, there was no chipping, just the tips of my nails were a bit shinier than the rest, but this can easily be freshened up with another coat of the matte top coat.

Hope you like and feel free to leave me a comment xx
