Cadillacquer Keep Breathing

My second post of the night is another lovely little Cadillacquer.

Keep Breathing is from the Dexter Collection and is sadly being discontinued, but every cloud has a silver lining and all that, as due to the fac it is being discontinued, it means you can pick is up at a great price from the Cadillacquer site.

Keep Breathing has light teal base packed with green and white flakes, lilac and purple hex glitter and even considering all the different parts to this polish, it still applies so well.

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.

I am so super glad I managed to get this one before it was gone, so if you want it, don't risk missing out.

At the time of writing, this polish can still be bought from the official site or you can also buy Cadillacquers from Llarowe, Harlow & Co and Rainbow Connection

Thanks for looking <3 xx

a-england Virgin Queen

Today brings another of the new a-englands from the Elizabeth & Mary collection.  I am loving this collection, and I hope you all are too.

This one is Virgin Queen and is inspired by Elizabeth.

Virgin Queen is an interesting little white/silver/bronze holo and really delicate to wear.

This is one coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.

This collection is now available on the official a-england site, if you are in the UK, and if not, a-englands can be purchased from Llarowe or visit here for a full list of international stockists.

Thanks so much for looking <3

Cadillacquer Please Don't Kill Me, Mr Ghostface

I have another second post (well technically third..) for you today with the other Cadillacquer Halloween polish that I wanted to show you before Halloween is actually here :)

This one is inspired by Scary Movie and still one of the best parodies I have seen.  "Please don't kill me Mr Ghostface....I wanna be in the sequel" ha.  'Ghostface' is from another great classic movie, Scream, which, even though it is a little dated now, I was still a tad freaked out when I first seen it way back when...

Anyway.  This Please Don't Kill Me, Mr Ghostface has a bluish grey jelly base with different sized blue glitters through it, and I love it as blue is always a winner in my book, never mind double blue!

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 3 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.

At the time of writing, this polish can still be bought from the official site (where more polishes have just been discontinued and added to the sale...) or you can also buy Cadillacquers from Llarowe, Harlow & Co and Rainbow Connection

Thanks for looking <3 xx

a-england Gloriana

Tonight we have another polish from the lovely new a-england collection, Elizabeth & Mary.

This one is called Gloriana and is such a complex and pretty little metallic red with gold flecks throughout.  I had to check out what the inspiration of this one was and it looks like it is inspired by a boat commissioned for Elizabeths diamond jubilee, which was gold and red so based on this, Adina has once again captured the inspiration so well in her polish.

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.

This collection is now available on the official a-england site, if you are in the UK, and if not, a-englands can be purchased from Llarowe or visit here for a full list of international stockists.

Cadillacquer It's In Here with Us

Today I have a second post for you, with another polish I love right now.  Now if you frequent here, you will know that Cadillacquer is another brand I love, I have never tried anything I don't like that Madeleine has made, and don't expect to know since I love so many already.

But I digress a little, today I have to show you It's In Here With Us, from the Halloween 2014 collection, which I understand is limited edition.  Now this bottle just screams halloween to me and is inspired by (I think) the recent remake of The Evil Dead, which are far as classic remakes go, I really enjoyed this one.

IIHWU has a bright orange base (think pumpkiny) with green glitters running throughout (which spread so easily with the base colour.

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.

I thought I would like this polish, but for some reason I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do....This one is staying on until Halloween I think, ha.

This one, and many others, can be bought from the official site or also from Llarowe, Harlow & Co and Rainbow Connection

Thanks for looking <3 xx

a-england Crown Of Thistles

Today I have the first polish from an amazing new collection that I am super excited to show you.

Now, everyone knows I love a-england, I am never quiet about this fact.  Adina makes amazing polishes that are not only stunning to look at, they always have such great inspiration.

This polish is from the newest a-england Collection - Elizabeth & Mary - which is a collection based on the two iconic Queens.

I don't know how many of you know this, but I am from Scotland so Crown of Thistles - a purple holo inspired by Scotland national flower - was a sure fire winner for being the first polish I would show from this collection.

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the Polish and 1 of the Shield.  To be honest, if you were careful, one coat of this polish would suffice, and it is also shiny without topcoat too.  Application, as I have found with all a-englands so far, was a dream.

This is such a great purple holo polish, even without the lovely inspiration, I would still need this polish in my life!

This collection is now available on the official a-england site, if you are in the UK, and if not, a-englands can be purchased from Llarowe or visit here for a full list of international stockists.

Cadillacquer The Dark...Whatever

Tonight we have another little Cadillacquer beauty.  I hope you are not sick of these yet, but I don't see how you can get sick of such pretty polishes..but anyway.  I have quite a few left to show you and am looking forward to doing so.

This one is from Cadillacquers very first collection, Do You See What I See? Even at the start Madeleine seems to have had such an eye about what goes well together.

The Dark...Whatever has a sheer blue/grey base with small black, small iridescent and bigger blue hex glitter.  As in the description, the base is a little sheer, but builds up nicely and shows off the glitters so well.

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 3 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.

Unfortunately, this one is no loger available on the Cadillacquer site, but you can buy others there and you may be able to get it from another retailer such as Llarowe, Harlow & Co or Rainbow Connection

Thanks for looking <3 xx

Cadillacquer Now and Then

Today I have another pretty little Cadillacquer to show you all.

This is another sadly discontinued one, that is no longer available on the Cadillacquer site, but I never want to miss out on showing you such a pretty polish just because it may be a little harder to get.

This one is called Now and Then and has white base with lavender, purple and white glitters though it, such a great mix and the density of the glitter is great, without being too much.

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.

This one is from the third Cadillacquer collection called All These Shiny Things - I recently got a list of all the collections and polishes within each so am loving being able to confirm this now, as sometimes, if they were no longer available polishes, I had no clue what collection they used to belong too, ha.  Although, having a complete list of all the polishes showed me how many I have, but also how many I still want...

Anyway, I digress, Cadillacquers bought from can be official site, or from from Llarowe, Harlow & Co and Rainbow Connection

Thanks for looking <3 xx

A Giveaway and a Review of some Mont Bleu Glass Nail Files

I have for you all today a little review of some Mont Bleu Glass Nail Files, I am so happy to have this product on my site again.

I think I first reviewed this product about a year and a half ago and even though I had tried Czech Glass Files before, I was so glad to find a site that sold them, and shipped to the UK, as any other time I had picked them up while in Prague.  I have used the files I got last time consistently since I got them and honestly have not noticed any lessening in how good they are when filing my nails.

I have tried many other brands of glass files, before finding this site, but these ones are hands down - no pun intended - the best I have tried. Which is one of the reasons am I so glad to have some more to show you.

Mont Bleu have a lot of different types, sizes and designs on their site.  I have a few different ones to show you. I picked one from the Elegant Line, one from the Crystal Line and one from the Hard Case Line.

The Elegant one I picked has red square crystals and little clear crystals as the design.  The Crystal one I picked has black and clear crystals in different sizes.  Both of these come in a little black velvet pouch.  Lastly I have the one in a black hard case, until now, I have been carrying the mini file I got last time in my bag, and even though it is still in perfect condition, I always worry it might break, and now with the hard case, I will have no such worry.  The file is also fitted into the lid of the case so is actually quite nice to hold when filing.

Anyway, onto the pictures.

Now, you see how pretty these are, I absolutely love both of the designs on these, and love the practically of the hard case file.  There are so many to choose from on the site, so I am sure there is something to everyones liking.

And I haven't even mentioned the file really yet.... it is made of tempered czech glass and is it noted on the site that there is a lifetime guarantee on the abrasive surface!  The size of the standard file is 135mm(5.5 inches) long and the file in the hard case is 125mm(4.92 inches long).

Now if you are still around after listening to my gushing over these files, I have a little giveaway for you.  The lovely people at Mont Bleu have kindly offered a prize of one of their sets of files.

In this set there are 3 files with a “Waterfall” design.  A mini file which is ideal for your bag (90mm/3.54 in), a standard sized one (135mm/5.32 in) and a large one for pedicure (195mm/7.68 in)

Here is a picture of the set you can win.

This is such a great set, and good luck to all of you that enter.

The only mandatory entry is to 'like' Mont Bleu on Facebook, and the others are just for extra chances to win.  The giveaway will be open for just over 1 week and again is Worldwide and Mont Bleu will send the prize directly to the winner upon my choosing..

Cadillacquer Out Of This World

Today we have another Cadillacquer, from one of the newer collections, Love The Music.

Now not only does Madeleine have great taste in TV, she has great taste in songs, some of these are inspired by my favourite songs, and some I couldn't recall off of the top of my head.....Out Of This World as not one of them.

In case you don't know Out Of This World is by Bush and is from the album Golden State (which I actually still have the CD of from back when I can't remember buying it...).  I love love this song, and also loved that it was used in an episode of Buffy (Season 6, Dead Things I think, I could google but if I'm right I will worry about myself..).  Mr Rossdale has such a great voice and is way more than just Gwen Stefanis husband, haha, as I know as lot of people only know him as that.  Anyway, I totally digress and my geek is well out on show tonight...haha!

Anyway my main point from the ramble above is this song is great and you should listen to it now, if you haven't before, and the polish inspired by it is just as good!

OOTW is a plum base with an amazing blue shimmer and if that is not enough, holo too.

This is 1 coat of the Knight and 2 of the polish.

This one, any many others, can be bought from the official site, I have just indulged in some more of the discontinued polishes I am missing  You can also purchase them from Llarowe, Harlow & Co and Rainbow Connection

Thanks for looking <3 xx

Cadillacquer Restless

I have for you all today a Cadillacquer that is sadly discontinued and I cannot see it for purchase on any of the retailers I am familiar with, but that being said, I still wanted to show it to you.

Restless has turquoise/aqua base with fine holo glitter, different sized brown and turquoise glitters from what I can see.

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.  I loved the opaqueness and even coverage of this one, despite the amount of glitter.  Another one I am so happy to have in my collection.

Now as I said, this pretty is no longer available but so many great other polishes can be bought from the official site - including some new collections that I am dying to get my hands on.  You can also purchase them from Llarowe, Harlow & Co and Rainbow Connection

Thanks for looking <3 xx

Cadillacquer Have A Killer Day

Today I have a little Cadillacquer to show you all, I honestly have so many of these still to show, they have been right up there on my wishlist polishes for ages and I have so many more I want to get.  Madeleine just knows how to make a great polish, thats for sure!

Have a Killer Day is no exception and sadly has not been discontinued, buutt you can still pick it up on the Cadillacquer site, in the Sale section for an added bonus...

HaKD has a light grayish blue base, blue micro flakies, neon pink squares, small matte purple hex glitter and matt pink hex glitter. Whew, this polish has a lot going on, but at the same time, doesn't look too busy.  Oh and I want to add here that HaKD is from the Dexter collection, another of my favourite shows, not only does Madeleine make great polishes, more often than not, they are inspired by things I already love...

This is one coat of the Knight, 3 of the polish and no top coat.  I did add a topcoat after I took my pictures, but I didn't get a chance to take pictures of it like this.

I loved this one, even being light and with the pink and all, I still really enjoyed this combination.  I have so many Cadillacquers in my collection that are not normally my usual style, but I still love them all the same.

As I said, this polish is now discontinued but you can still pick it up in the sale on the Cadillacquer site so don't miss out on the chance to grab this one!  Cadillacquers can also be purchased from Llarowe, Harlow & Co and Rainbow Connection.

Thanks for looking <3 xx

Colors by Llarowe Fall 2014 - Obsessed with Marilyn, Elegance and Mystique

Today we have the last 3 I have from the CbL Fall collection.  I have shown you 6 over the last 2 days, there are 18 in total in this collection so please see the CbL social medias for swatches of the others, as you need to sell all of these, as as always, Leah Ann has created a great collection that have so many 'must haves'

Now, on that point, I can see that this next polish will be one of those...Obsessed with Marilyn is a deep blood red holo and it just so pretty.  Once I am done wearing My Broken Down Crop Duster, this is next on my list as I really did do a little 'Ooohhh' when applying this.  This is 2 coats.

Then we have Elegance which is a black jelly base with gold flakies and various shimmers in gold, pink, copper and red.  This is 3 coats.

And last but not least we have Mystique, which when I see the name I feel it should be blue like X-Men but thats just my geek coming out.... But nonetheless, this Mystique is a deep mushroom semi chrome with gold and khaki shimmer.  This is 2 coats.

Again I was super happy with all 3 of these but I think Marilyn is a clear front runner for favourite, but the complex little jelly and chrome were not far behind.

These are launching today on the Llarowe site and they will be done as a pre-order so  keep an eye on  the Llarowe FB for update.

Colors by Llarowe Fall 2014 - My Broken Down Crop Duster, Swear Jar and Sophistication

Today I have 3 of the upcoming CbL Fall collection to show you, I have 6 to show and since the launch is tomorrow, I wanted to try and get them shown before then. I will have the other post up tomorrow with the other 3.

But onto today post we have 3 polishes with different finishes.

First I knew I had to show you My Broken Down Crop Duster, no joke....I actually did a little gasp when I applied this one.

MBDCD is a blackened brown linear holo, and when I had done swatching, I had to put this one back one, and I have been wearing it for the last couple of days.  This is 2 coats.

Then we have Swear Jar which is a teal base with a gold shimmer.  Now it seems to look very green  under my natural daylight bulb, I think this may be due to the fact that the shimmer is much more green/gold at these angles.  This is 2 coats.

Lastly we have Sophistication which is described as a mushroom chrome polish.  Again this seems to pull an ever so slightly more green tone on me than I have seen in some other pictures....I don't know if I have a funny skin tone or something, ha.  This is 3 coats.

I was very happy with all 3 of these but I think MBDCD is my favourite, I do love a nice chrome and I love a good shimmer even more but that holo just stole my heart.

These are launching tomorrow on the Llarowe site and as far as I know, they will be done as a pre-order but check the Llarowe FB for updates on this.

Colors by Llarowe - I Love Candy Corn Halloween Trio

I have for you today a little set from CbL, it is called 'I Love Candy Corn' and is a limited collection for Halloween.

The three polishes in this collection are:

- Punkin' which is a bright orange jelly holo polish.
- Witchipoo which is a another jelly holo but is bright yellow this time
- What Knockers! which is a gunmetal grey with orange flakies

Firstly I will show your Punkin', this is 2 coats.

Then Witchipoo, this is 3 coats.

I don't think I have encountered a jelly holo before, and I must say I was impressed.  I love the finish a jelly gives, and really don't mind a few extra coats to get that, but these were actually okay coat wise.  These were only 2 and 3 coats, and the nail line shows up more under my light than the eye would see, so maybe another coat of each would have done the trick.

Lastly, here is What Knockers! which the flakies were a little camera shy in....

And it wouldn't be Halloween without some scary art, but since I am not that great at the free-handing, you get some Halloweeny stickers.....

Ah well, can't say I didn't try, ha.....

All I will say is these are great polishes, I am so glad I have all 3, but especially the orange as it is so Halloweeny and I have nothing like it at all.

These will go on sale on 10 October and will be available individually or as a set, and again, these are limited so if you want these, add the above date to your diary....

CbL polishes can be purchased from the official site, and I am not sure at this point when/if the set will be available to other stockists.

Some products in this post were sent to me for review.
