Cadillacquer Cap'n Cook, Pink Teddy Bear and Dollish Polish Welcome to Rapture

I'm back with my first post, and hope its been worth the wait ;)  I was going to come back with the newest a-england I own, as I have already worn that pretty twice since receiving it, but silly me left it in my drawer in work, ask had taken it in to do my nails for a night out.

So I decided to show you another purple concoction to make up for not showing you the purple a-england.

Just a quick note that most of the polishes I will be showing you over the coming weeks/months may be no longer available, or were newish when I bought them but no longer are since so much time has passed.  But that doesn't make them any less worthy of a good show off :)

First, I start with Cadillacquer Cap'n Cook which is a subtle purple holo with a subtle shimmer too.  This is 1 coat of the Knight and 2 of the polish.

I then done my usual go to design when I want to jazz a polish up and I put 2 coats of Pink Teddy Bear - which is a black based subtle holo with an awesome pink shimmer - in a diagonal over Cap'n Cook.

Lastly, I topped the above with 1 coat of Dollish Polish Welcome to Rapture which is a great clear based multi coloured glitter topper and 1 coat of the Knight to seal it all in.

Well I hope this was a good post to pick to come back with.  I got a whole lot of swatching done this weekend but the posts will not be on any kind of regular basis yet unfortunately, but at the same time, I will try not to leave it too long.

Colors by Llarowe Tweety Bird

Today we have one of the Jelly polishes from the Spring collection by Colors by Llarowe.

This one is a yellow jelly called Tweety Bird.  I am fairly new to trying out jelly polishes but am surprisingly liking them.  It takes quite a few coats to get a nice finish, and especially with this one, as it is a light jelly, I am not sure it would ever get opaque.

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 4 of the polish and 1 of the Shield.

I really like this one, but also wanted to try it out in a Jelly sandwich, which you probably know, but incase you don't, is a glitter sandwiched between a few coats of a Jelly.

I couldn't decide which glitter would be best with the yellow so tried a few.

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of the polish, 1 of the glitter then another 2 of the polish.

The glitters are Dollish Polish We're Simply Meant to be, Lynnderella Change, Lynderella Connect The Dots and Dollish Polish This Is Halloween.

Random Picture Time

Today we have something a teensy bit different from me.  I have a folder in my archive and it is made up of pictures of manis that I have maybe one picture that I felt was good enough to use but not enough for a full post but I still wanted to show you them.

So I decided why not just show you a couple at a time.

First we have Picture Polish White Wedding, topped with a-england She Walks In Beauty.

Then we have Contrary Polish Creeping Moss which I have shown you before with Dollish Polish on top but it is so pretty it needed to be shown alone too.

Now we have Dandy Nails Legal Assassin over Dandy Nails Mighty Fine Print (I still love that there is a nail polish collection inspired by Repo!)

And last but definitely not least we have all 3 of the Dollish Polish Fire In The Night Sky Collection.  In order these are Nothern Lights, Aurora Australis and Aurora Borelis.  I have worn these 3 over black quite a few times, and am a little sad I only have mini bottles of each but here I am showing you how I last wore them which was over Colors By Llarowe Ox, couldn't decide which to wear so decided on alternate nails of each polish.

So how do you all like this kind of post, I still have quite a few manis like these to show off so might try and do one of these a week until the pictures are used.

When I finally managed to save my pictures from my old laptop, I noticed I have a lot in my archive and with so many new pretties to swatch I figured to get all the older ones shown then can get caught up.

Dollish Polish Girls Rule Boys Drool over Hussy Potion

I have for you today two stunning polishes from Dollish Polish that I almost didn't want to show you as you can't get them anymore.  Hussy Potion - which is made up of purple and black glitters in a milky white base - was a custom polish made by Dolly for a few ladies, and Girls Rule Boys Drool - which is matte pink and purple glitters in a clear base - was a limited edition polish Dolly sold last year.

I had both sitting and they for some reason called out to be to be worn together, so here is 1 coat of the Knight, 3 of Hussy Potion, 1 of Girls Rule and 1 of the Shield.

Sadly as I said, neither of these pretties are available, but Dolly has many many more amazing creations and you can pick them up from her Store or from Llarowe.

Contrary Polish Bright Night and Dollish Polish Wicked Wario

I have for you today another two polishes from two amazing brands.

Firstly we have Contrary Polish Bright Night which is a shimmering blue jelly polish.  

This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Bright Night and 1 of the Shield.

The I topped it with another polish from the Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros Collection, Wicked Wario.

This is the above mani with 2 coats of Wario and 1 of the Shield.

I do love how the Contrary Polishes I received seem to pair so well with one of the polishes from the Dollish Mario Collection, I can't wait to show you the other combos.

Contrary Polish Firebrand and Dollish Polish A Peachy Princess

I have for you today two polishes from two brands I love and am consistently impressed by.

Firstly we have Contrary Polish Firebrand.  This is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Firebrand and 1 of the Shield.

The I topped it with another polish from the Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros Collection, A Peachy Princess.

This is the above mani with 2 coats of Peachy and 1 of the Shield.

I loved how these 2 looked together and I hope you do too.

Apologies for the little absence, had a pretty busy, but good, few days.

Dollish Polish Toad-ally Awesome over Contrary Polish Purple Smoke

I have for you today the continuation of a collection I have been dying to complete, the Dollish Polish Super Mario Bros Collection.  Toad-ally Awesome is made up of matte white, gold, blue and red glitter in various shapes and sizes.

When was wearing the Contrary Polishes I thought these would make great bases for glitter, as I do love layering a glitter over a shimmer.
