Illamasqua Hemlock

Today I have for you the last of my scheduled posts.  At the initial appointment I was told at least two weeks until I could use my hand properly so I hope those timescales are correct and I have scheduled enough to keep you all going until I am able to type again.  If not I will try and think up something else to keep you all entertained.....

Here is Illamasqua Hemlock, it is part of the collection released alongside Illamasquas first scent, Freak.  My friend bought the Freak box set with the perfume, an eyeshadow, a lipgloss and a nail polish, Hemlock so as always I swiftly 'borrowed' Hemlock from her to try out, as a good friend, I have to test polishes out for her first.

Hemlock is such a pretty polish, it is a creamy looking polish which a stunning green duochrome flash to it.  It is quite sheer and is great for layering but I will show you it alone first as it also looks nice this way.

Here is 1 coat of the Knight, 2 of Hemlock and 1 of the Shield.

Now I knew I wanted to layer Hemlock next so decided to layer it over a green, and Illamasquas Rampage seemed the obvious choice.

Here is 1 coat of the Knight, 1 of Rampage, 2 of Hemlock and 1 of the Shield.

Thank you for looking and your patience with me and my scheduled posts, I hope they all worked properly and I cannot wait to get back chatting with you all properly.

Illamasqua Rampage was sent to me for review.

  1. Stunning! I love Illamasqua polishes, so I may have to add this to my collection =) I really like it over Rampage, but I like it on its own as well, which is weird because I'm usually not a fan of sheers. It's really lovely.

  2. This is lovely, have seen this about and I think Scrangie did a swatch of it. You take your time getting your hand better, as we'll still be here. The more you rest the quicker it'll heal for more lovely posts.

You're such a good friend testing your friends polishes for her first!!! ;-)

  5. Jacqui, I don't really love sheer polishes either, but I think the duochromey look this one has makes it bearable. I am sad it has sold out now, guess I will be 'borrowing' my friends when I want to use it xx

    Thanks dinksbeauthstuff xx

Thank you too Esther, you are too kind and that's what friends are for :p

Thanks Marie, I think it was designed as a layering polish, I seen a video a while back on the Illamasqua FB page that showed it layered over a few different colours and it was lovely xx
